Coach Roman Peoples

Girls Varsity Coach

Coach Roman Peoples played for legendary coach Doug Lipscomb at Wheeler High School where he graduated in 1993. As junior college standout player, he was 13th in the nation in blocked shots and was voted to the All South Team in 1996. After leaving Alabama, he went to DePaul University where he was a part of the #2 NCAA Division I recruiting class in the nation under another legendary coach Pat Kennedy. Roman played forward for that team which reached #22 in the nation with a tournament berth his senior year. After career ending shoulder injuries, Roman assisted at DePaul, then on to be the Head Basketball Coach for both boys and girls at Oscar Meyer Middle School and Assistant Coach at Prosser High School in Chicago, IL.

Coach Scott Jones is a nationally certified official. With decades of on court experience as both a referee and a coach, Coach Scott brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to the program!

Coach Kyle Hill

Director of College Recruitment

Coach Kyle Hill is one of our 8th grade head coaches, bringing elite playing and coaching experience to the Locked In program. A former shooting guard and point guard, Kyle had his jersey retired at Argo Community High School and was a 2-time All-Conference player at Eastern Illinois University, where he became the 2nd leading scorer in the nation and earned Hall of Fame honors. He was drafted 44th overall in the 2001 NBA Draft by the Dallas Mavericks and played professionally in Europe for over a decade, winning multiple championships. Since retiring, Kyle has coached AAU in Illinois, New Jersey, and Georgia, and has been a dedicated basketball trainer since 2013. He’s passionate about helping the next generation grow their skills and confidence both on and off the court.

Coach West Ferry

Girls JV Coach

Coach West Ferry brings passion, perspective, and a true love for the game to the program. A Gwinnett County high school basketball alumnus, Coach West has spent years coaching the game at every level through raising and developing his four daughters as players. His hands-on experience across youth, and competitive environments gives him a strong understanding of fundamentals, effort, and team culture.

Known for his enthusiasm and positive approach, his coaching style reflects a parent-coach mindset focused on teaching, encouragement, and long-term player development.
